SWAMP by Jan Kather

Courtesy of RENEGADE SCREEN

The landscape is characterized by hills having rounded shoulders and steep slopes which rise about 1000 feet from a base of 900 feet mean sea level. The hilltops, representative of the Appalachian Plateau, are generally level and are usually crowned by fields or pasture. Mixed deciduous forests cover the steep hillsides while agriculture and communities vie for the level valley floor.
